Dear MCCSSC Users & Community Members,
As we head into the heart of winter, we hope this message finds you well and filled with enthusiasm for outdoor adventures. However, we have an important announcement regarding the operations of the Marathon Cross Country Ski and Snowshoe Club (MCCSSC) Chalet.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, primarily the lack of adequate snowfall, we regret to inform you that the MCCSSC Chalet will be closed until further notice. We understand the disappointment this may bring to our dedicated members and visitors, but safety and the preservation of our natural environment remain our utmost priorities.
However, it's not all gloom and doom! We're pleased to announce that despite the chalet closure, all our beautiful trails will remain OPEN for WALKING ONLY. This decision has been made to ensure that our community still has the opportunity to enjoy the serene beauty of the outdoors and stay active during this winter season.
In lieu of our regular fees, we kindly ask users of the trails to consider making a donation to support the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of our trail network. Your generosity will be crucial in helping us continue to provide outdoor recreational opportunities for all.
Please remember that while the trails are open, they are to be used at your own risk. We advise all visitors to exercise caution, dress appropriately for winter conditions, and be mindful of any potential hazards along the trails.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued support during these challenging times. Rest assured, we are closely monitoring the situation and will keep you updated on any changes regarding the status of the MCCSSC Chalet and our operations.
